OPEN CALL spring 2025

KOOLA Art Space is announcing an open call for both group and solo exhibitions for the Spring 2025 season. We invite artists from all disciplines to submit their proposals for exhibitions scheduled between January 1, 2025, and June 30, 2025.

Deadline for submissions is 20.12.2024. Please note that while the deadline for submissions is December 20, 2024, we may begin reviewing and making decisions on proposals prior to this date. Therefore, we encourage early submissions to ensure your work is considered.

Group exhibition showcasing emerging photographers and new directions in contemporary photography. Innovative approaches to visual storytelling and the evolving art of image-making.

  • Deadline for Submissions: 20.12.2024 but decisions may be made earlier

    Information of the Pieces: Please provide a brief artist statement and exhibition concept along with your submission. Include a portfolio link. If you do not have an online portfolio, you can send images of your works via email to koolartspace(at)gmail.com Use message title Portfolio.

    Artwork Specifications:

    • Participants can submit one or more pieces with a maximum size of 40cm x 50cm. The cost for each piece in this size category is 35€.

    • For larger pieces, the cost is 70€ per piece.

    • The gallery does not take any commission on sales made during the exhibition. Artists are responsible for handling the execution of sales transactions, including the movement of funds.

    Eligibility: Open to photographers of all backgrounds

    • Submission deadline: 20.12.2024

    • Selected artists will be contacted by December 27th, 2024, or earlier.

    • Artwork(s) must be delivered to the gallery by January 12th, 2025.

    • Exhibition Dates: The exhibition will be open from January 15th to January 31st, 2025.

    • Opening Days: The gallery will be open 5 days a week during this period.

    • Supervision: The exhibition will be supervised by the gallery staff to ensure a smooth experience for both artists and visitors.

    • Opening Event: An opening event will be organized on January 15th, 2025, to celebrate the launch of the exhibition.

    • The gallery will take care of all publicity related to the exhibition through our own channels and will provide promotional materials. Artists are more than welcome to share and promote the exhibition as well!

    • Comprehensive social media campaigns will be executed to promote the event.

    • An official press release will be distributed to announce the exhibition.

    • The event will be listed in prominent event calendars to ensure maximum visibility.

  • KOOLA Art Space warmly welcomes submissions from international artists. We celebrate cultural diversity and we are eager to showcase talents from around the globe.

    While we are thrilled to consider your work for our exhibitions, please note that international artists are responsible for the shipping costs associated with sending their pieces to our venue.

‘Feminists don’t wear pink (and other lies)’. Group exhibition deconstructing and examining the complexities of feminist discourse. Exploring the intersectionality of feminist thought and artistic expression, and challenging traditional narratives.

The theme can be interpreted freely through color, thematic approach, or stylistic choices. Exhibition is open to artists of all genders, disciplines, and backgrounds.

Solo Exhibitions Spring 2025

KOOLA Art Space is announcing an open call for solo exhibitions for the Spring 2025 season. We invite artists from all disciplines to submit their proposals for exhibitions scheduled between January 1, 2025, and June 30, 2025.

Artists can apply for solo exhibitions with durations of 1, 2, or 4 weeks. This opportunity is open to both emerging and established artists to showcase their work to new audiences in a supportive environment. Deadline for submissions is 20.12.2024.

  • KOOLA Art Space offers flexible exhibition periods for artists. We offer 1,2 and 3 week long the exhibition times. Please note that the exhibition period includes installation and dismantling.

    Included Services

    • Publicity: The gallery will take care of all publicity related to the exhibition. Comprehensive social media campaigns will be executed to promote the event. An official press release will be distributed to announce the exhibition.The event will be listed in prominent event calendars to ensure maximum visibility.

    • Supervision: The gallery provides supervision four days a week. The specific days and times vary depending on the exhibition dates and will be discussed individually with each artist. Extra supervision dates are available at €50 per day. Artists may also supervise themselves on days when the gallery does not provide supervision, if agreed upon with the gallery.

    • Sales: The gallery does not take any commission on sales made during the exhibition. Artists are responsible for handling the execution of sales transactions, including the movement of funds.

    Exhibition Durations and Pricing

    KOOLA Art Space is a non-profit organization. The exhibition fees are used solely to cover the costs of the exhibition space. Supervision and all other services are provided through voluntary work.

    1-Week Exhibition Price: 210€

    2-Week Exhibition Price: 375€

    3-Week Exhibition Price: 540€
